Halloween is nearly here and the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm are getting ready. The sheep are looking forward to making pumpkin lanterns. They’ve been secretly growing pumpkins and they’re nearly reaching the right size. Everyone is excited.Â
But then the farmer trips and ruins their pumpkin patch.
Shaun takes the lead to try and solve the problem and in a throwback to Frankenstein he concocts a potion to make the lanterns grow quickly. But things take a turn for the worse when a hairy monster is seen roaming the woods
As the credits rolled and the kids filed out I pondered:
- The movie gives all the usual Shaun The Sheep feels, adorable sheep, naughty pigs and a hapless farmer;
- It’s pure escapism, with wonderful visuals;
- Aside from the usual quest, the storyline is peppered with environmental references;
- There are loads of in jokes parents to enjoy. Don’t miss it.
