Research continues to show that consumers hanker for a strong sense of community, a time when they could wander down to the corner store and chat to the owner, while picking up a bottle of milk and the days paper. Thankfully recent years have seen a movement back to these times, and we have places like new store Milk and Paper to thank for that.

Last week I stumbled upon Milk and Paper, a wonderful little oasis in the madness of Scarborough Beach Road.

While the name of the store was enough to get me to the door, it was the combination of the luxurious interior and the great food that will keep me coming back. Actually I’ve already gone back twice.

While I can’t remember all the ingredients that went into them I can tell you that the green ‘Pick me Up’ energizer one did just that.
When I added in a chocolate orange one for ‘dessert’ I didn’t need to eat anything else until much later in the evening. Definitely worth a look when you’re next on Scarborough Beach Road.
