Tim Ferguson waves his big stick at the Wild West Comedy Festival

It’s been 12 months since Tim Ferguson was last here and while his approach was more relaxed, his wit was as sharp as ever.

Tonight Tim put on an intimate show at the Wild West Comedy Festivals, Empyrean theatre.

Seated high on a chair that looked like a prop from Playschool, Tim took us on a trip down memory lane, complete with clips from the Doug Anthony Allstars and Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush. All that was missing was the Dave Allen cigar … oh and the missing digit.

Tim also gave us a sneaky look at one of the 13 pilots he did for Channel 9, while it was under the guidance of Kerry Packer. The clip was hilarious, though possibly for all the wrong reasons.

I’m always left pondering how comedians remember all the details in their show. Without a note in sight, Tim once again showed us how it’s done and proved that the next crop of comedians he teaching, is in good hands.

Tickets for the remaining shows are available at http://www.wildwestcomedy.com.au/. With Tim and Paul in the state at the same time, now that’s something to ponder.
