Old Rockers never die, not even after they’ve had their head cut off on stage.
Alice Cooper was the first concert I ever saw, followed by Ian Drury, that’s what you get when you have a cool older brother. When I heard Alice Cooper was coming to Perth I was a tad excited, but then life got in the way and I didn’t get around to buying a ticket. When a friend called on Thursday night with a free ticket for Saturdays show the excitement butterflies returned and for good reason it turns out.
Thankfully the years have not dulled his music nor his love of snakes
Or theatre as Frankenstein was released to run around the stage, followed by …
the guillotine which left the crowd both stunned and cheering, no mean feat that …
It was great to hear the packed theatre in full voice to classics like Welcome To My Nightmare, and The Department of Youth to name two …
Another brilliant concert by the rock legend, we were so lucky to have him stop by Perth Arena
As we left I pondered …
- The attention to detail on the stage was amazing.
- How does a man in his 60’s managed to change costumes, including leather pants, so quickly? I’m sure I’d be sending out Frankenstein for another trot while grappling with the zippers.
- Just when did Alice Cooper become a support act? I, along with the crowd, would have been pleased to see Alice continue on. Talk about leaving them wanting more.
- So lucky to have got a ticket. When Alice comes this way again I’ll definitely be buying a ticket.
