Who doesn’t want to check out a comedy show by 6 foot 7 identical twins. No? Well, what about two guys who won the Critic’s Choice Award, FRINGE WORLD 2023.
After a critic suggested their debut show Pear could be braver, there was only one thing to do. Yep, create a follow up Fringe show, Pear: But Braver.
The thought of being in a small Fringe tent on a hot Perth night for an hour is not ideal. Some would say that in itself was incredibly brave. So too the decision by the twins Patrick and Hugo McPherson, to wear skivvies.
The hour-long show runs through ten quick skits in a fun, improv style. The standout for me, a clever song about our bicycle police. Funny the things we get used to. Watch out for the sexy bit too.
At the risk of intensifying any sibling rivalry between the two, you might also like to check out Patrick in his show Colossal, which has sold out the Edinburgh Fringe, London’s Soho Theatre and FRINGE WORLD 2023, and won Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 (Theatre Weekly) and FRINGE WORLD’s Best Theatre Show 2023.
