Movie Review: Two Tickets To Greece

With all that’s been happening lately I was ready for a light movie, Two Tickets To Greece sounded perfect, a comedy about old school friends going on holiday together.

Two Tickets To Greece

As young girls at school Blandine (Olivia Cote) and Magalie (Laure Calamy) dreamed about holidaying in Greece, particularly places they’d seen on The Big Blue. a dream never realised until …

Recently divorced, and watching helplessly as her only son leaves home, Blandine is struggling to find her footing again. Enter her former best friend Magalie. Loud and fearless, Magalie takes no prisoners. Blandine is soon convinced to made a change.

The two will take the trip they always dreamed of to Amorgos. As they head off towards their destination, it’s soon apparent that Magalie’s very different approach to holidaying – and to life – could lead Blandine to her breaking point… and beyond!

When they catch up with (Kristin Scott Thomas) things take another turn.

As the stunning countryside flashed up I pondered:

  1. In the vein of The Odd Couple, the movie is a fun, easy movie;
  2. Scott Thomas looked like she had a ball;
  3. It’s a reminder that friendship is tricky.
