A last minute decision to meet a friend in Mount Hawthorne saw me experience Lupo Lab for the first time. It definitely won’t be the last.
The first thing that catches your eye at Lupo Lab is the huge roasting machine taking up all of the front room. Clearly they take their coffee seriously here. In fact their website boasts that they make “freshly roasted coffee sourced directly from farmers”.
While it was only a quick visit I can tell you the muffin was fresh, and more than enough for a mid morning break. Mind you the presentation was a tad weird, just plonked on a plate.
My guest opted for something more … smashed avocado, well why wouldn’t you. She only made it through half the portion it being so plentiful. No scrimping on the avocado here which can sometimes occur.
Like the food the venue feels fresh, with it’s light open spaces. Diners can sit out the front and watch the passing parade on busy Scarborough Beach Road, in the main dining area or in another area out back.
Lupo Lab is definitely worth a look I know I will be going back for lunch. Love the logo.
