Movie Review: Shaun The Sheep Farmageddon

0

It’s a Shaun The Sheep movie, enough said. Okay, okay you need more. Farmageddon is a FANTASTIC homage to all alien-related movies. Great for kids, fantastic for adults.

Thanks to Shaun The Sheep

Where to start?

Shaun and his co conspirators are up to their usual tricks on Mossy Bottom Farm, driving the dog nuts. Unbeknown to them an spaceship has crash landed nearby. When the lovable looking alien turns up in their shed, Shaun embarks on a mission to get him back to his spaceship and home, before he is captured by the Ministry of Alien Detection.

The story line and action keeps young and old involved right up to the end. One of the reasons for this is the plethora of hilarious references to other alien-inspired movies.

I managed to find references to ET, Alien, Star Trek, Dr Who, Star Wars, and Wall E. The movie also give a great explanation of crop circles.

As I watched the happy faces leaving the theatre I pondered:

  1. Shaun the Sheep never, ever disappoints;
  2. There are so many references for adults to look out for;
  3. They must have had a blast making this one, or at least writing the script;
  4. Great for kids, fantastic for adults.
