A couple of months ago I stumbled across a new cafe being set up in East Perth. As this is my daily stomping ground I was intrigued. Even more intriguing was it’s position under the ABC studio. And then I saw the sign at the door … Jaffles?

Who doesn’t love a Jaffle, right? I chose baked beans and cheese. It was full of memories of standing over the stove making Jaffles in a 1970’s kitchen. It was also full of meaty beans and smooth cheese.

There were other options as shown on the cute blackboard and if Jaffles aren’t your thing there’s more on offer.

On my first visit I chatted with the owner about the possibility of getting bike racks. So it was spooky that on my second visit two Council men were measuring up an area for said racks.
I wish this little cafe all the very best. If the enthusiasm of the owner is anything to go by they will do well. I’ll definitely be back soon.
