With the colder months around the corner it’s good to time a cosy restaurant. Guildford has a number to pick from. We ended up at Padbury’s Cafe, in a cute window section which felt like our own private space.
Padbury’s is part of a beautiful old building and a trip to the toilets opens up some interesting historical features. I’ll leave them for you to find.
The food was perfect for the time of year. One guest picked the lamb shank sitting on a bed of vegetables. That’s their meat intake solved for a couple of days.
Another picked the chicken ceasar salad, the chicken covered in interesting spices.
And the third pasta la vista, linguini in a home made cherry tomato sauce.
Desserts were an oosing chocolate pudding and crunchy, creamy caramel.
If your party is hard of hearing I recommend not being in the main restaurant area. The window booths or outside are more conducive to talking.
