Recently I’ve been doing a stint of work in West Perth where I was delighted to find a small café called Dolce and Salato, which I highly recommend.
From the outside the café doesn’t look much, although the little cluster of wooden tables did draw me in. Step inside and you’ll find a neat, inviting café with wonderfully friendly people working hard behind the counter. And then there’s the food…
First up there’s a huge range of readymade rolls
Or fresh pizza.
I opted for a takeaway vegetarian roll made to order, leaving the contents up to the lovely lady on hand. The result was delicious and big enough for two people.
I ended up sitting down inside instead of taking it back to work and I’m pleased I did because I got to see a meal being delivered to another diner. Served up on a wooden board with red and white checked paper cloth it was a nice touch, very cute.
Several meetings later when I was told that the round of coffees would be coming from D & S rather than the office kitchen, I didn’t hesitate. The whole experience left me pondering …
- Just as well I don’t work in West Perth I’d be ordering afternoon latte’s every day.
- Next time I’m over that way for a meeting I’ll definitely try out there pizza.
- So nice to see people enjoying their work, great service.
