Student Runway Perth Fashion Festival 2016

Try as I might the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival always seems to come around before I’ve had a chance to get my hair done or trim down into peak form. Every year I say ‘next year I’ll have a great outfit to wear’. Every year I rummage through the back of my wardrobe half an hour before I race out the door. Still by the time the lights dim and I’m watching the show it really doesn’t matter, especially if it’s the Future Runway student show. I love this show. Maybe the following sample of photos will explain why. Enjoy (whether you’re wearing your pj’s or your tiara). Congrats to all the students for a terrific show.

The night started in the foyer of the Perth Concert Hall where there was a comfy lounge, a Maurice Mead hair salon for touch ups, a GlamCam fashion rotisserie as I like to call it, and a help yourself fruit arrangement. There was plenty to watch in the crowd like …

Who needs a Bachelor when you have friends and chocolate covered fruit …

Then it was onto the show, the real show not the entrée show that I’d already had …

One of the standouts for me was this one, for the beautiful dress and great effort by the model, not a skerrick of hat hair.

Even this guy who looked toasty warm. Who knew men with braids could look so cool …
