Finally it’s here, Zoolander 2 and to be honest I can’t wait.

For anyone who’s had to pitch a storyline, be it for a film or novel, you’ll know how hard it is to condense the intricate plot twists that you’ve laboured over for months, maybe years, down to a few sentences. What about one sentence?
When one of the writers of Zoolander 2, Justin Theroux, summed up the storyline he wrote …
“Derek and Hansel are modelling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business.”
That’s it. Lucky it wasn’t the formal pitch but then I guess when it’s a sequel to a smash hit that’s all you need really. Still …

Nowhere in there is any mention of the priest, hot prison guard, circus strong man, old Chinese man, Maori warrior, gondolier, and exotic woman. Nor is there mention of the role call of Macaulay Culkin, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Zane, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Kim Kardashian West.
And yet I know I will be amongst the first lining up to hear the genetically blessed Derek Zoolanders’ (Ben Stiller) mispronunciations, and see how he and rival Hansel (Owen Wilson) are getting along. We already know that the pair surprised everyone by walking the Valentino runway at Paris Fashion Week, bet they didn’t think that was in their future when they were growing up.

The poodle carrying Mugatu (Will Ferrell) is back from jail, and this time we have Valentina (Penelope Cruz) added to the mix, along with the utterly intriguing All (Benedict Cumberbatch)
