Today I was beaten, beaten by a magnificent Bento Box served at Nobu restaurant in the Crown Perth complex. It was one of those meals that you just have to come home and write about, so here you go.

When I say write … I know I’m not professional food restaurant writer, and try as I might whenever I think about describing the dishes to you, all that comes to mind is my completely satisfied, jam-packed belly.

Three other elements included were: rice and sautéed vegetables in spicy garlic sauce; a Sashimi Salad (shown in the top photo); plus a bowl of Miso Soup.
The signature dish Black Cod with Miso sauce;
Beef tenderloin with either a teriyaki or Anticucho sauce;
Chicken with either a teriyaki or Anticucho sauce.
It was an easy choice as I’d had the signature dish before and longed to have to again, fish for me.

When the waiter first placed the box in front of me I saw one row of food and thought terrific.

Then she placed the second half of the box down and my eyes bulged, thankfully so too did my tummy, as it prepared for what was to come. Such good value.
There are three Bento Boxes on the menu and at the moment there’s a special on. It’s called the ‘Ultimate lunches’ and it’s available at all of the major Crown restaurants from Monday to Friday. For $49.50 you get the meal, plus valet parking.
