Hospital waiting list problem solved

2

For years I’ve read about hospital waiting lists getting longer and longer. Every few weeks a report will pop up in the paper or on television, about some poor soul hankering for an operation to their knee, back or some other failing body part. Whilst visiting St John of God Hospital in Subiaco, I came across a fairly innocuous sign pointing the way to their Customer Quality Coordinator. Tracing the path of the sign I was surprised to find myself standing in front of a potplant.

Lovely though it was, I remained unconvinced of its ability to accurately settle any accounts or coordinate in-home bedpan retrieval systems. Still there it stood, and there’s no denying the lack of queue waiting to see the Coordinator …

Perhaps it was working I pondered. Then promptly headed off to Coles and see if they too had embraced this latest recruitment strategy, and replaced their checkout chicks with friendly Ficus trees.
