This week saw the plus size models debate raise its head again.
This time it was at the 2013 Perth Fashion Festival. I for one was very pleased. For far too long the small ‘handbag’ fashion dogs have all the limelight. To see a plus size dog ‘walk’ for Empire Rose was a delight. Kudos to the festival directors for looking beyond the stereotypes and letting equality win. Rumour has it the Perth Zoo elephant has already begun exfoliating for next year.

Forget the skeletal, sickly girls who pass as fashion models these days. A true man knows that real beauty isn’t found in a size zero. A growing number of plus-size models are redefining what society considers beautiful, becoming a plus size model
