Continuing my exploration into job satisfaction, so far I’ve pondered the merits of beekeeping and toilet cleaning, on New Years Eve at the Crown another job had set me pondering.

Imagine spending four hours or more wandering around the Entertainment Complex dressed in a scratchy bikini, high heels and a mile high peacock feather delicately perched on your head …no?
Can’t say I blame you.
Spare a thought then for that what these girls had to go through this year.
Not only did the girls have to wander the full length and breadth of the complex making their way through the crowds, they also put on several performances throughout the night.
If that doesn’t make you think they should be included in next year Queens honours list ponder this. Along the way they had to stop and smile for the camera, mostly with young guys. Watching on I pondered what tales would be told down the pub the next day. Tales of one particularly special NYE spent in the company of a real life showgirl. Surely enough is enough!
Meanwhile over at the new LA inspired party pool complex there were salsa dancers and fire performers.
Praise goes out to the organisers for not positioning the flame dancers too near the show girls. With all those feathers can you imagine if one misplaced pirouette got out of control? It’d be enough to dash the dreams of many a young man.
Thankfully no showgirls were hurt in the writing of this post.

It would be a challenge dealing with
the fans and to keep smiling
Your coverage of the Burswood activities has been excellent both interesting and amusing. Too many feathers for me though.dx
