Early on in the evening I wandered into the Crown Entertainment Complex and sat on some innocent looking chairs in no-man’s-land. Little did I know what would happen next.

After a few moments half a dozen people came and sat in the other chairs around me. Turns out it was Australian Idol judge Marcia Hines and her band, who were performing later at the Ball.
While I will keep their conversations private, later on I was reminded about one of the band members pondering whether he’d be in bed before midnight. Somehow I doubt that was the case.

I was also left pondering the year ahead given that it had started with a new years blessing from Marcia … that’s got be to a good sign doesn’t it?
