Lola’s demise? (Dog apparel part II)

Later having moved into the city centre I came across…..

At first I pondered whether Lola (see dogs life in St Kilda) had finally made one too many diva requests, and consequently her owner had left her to her own devices on the harsh streets of Melbourne.

If so I didn’t like her chances as it seemed she’d already pawned her diamond-studded jacket for a Rocky-style street hoodie.

Or maybe she was simply showing the effects of one too many puppa-cino’s at lunch.

On closer reflection however I suspected it might have been Lola’s step-brother Ferdinand.

Once the talk of Melbourne, his buff torso had graced tins of Pal Chunky Bites in millions of kitchen cupboards. But then he started sniffing the wrong things and it all went down hill. Finally a leaked video tape of him loitering near a row of bins at the back of Crown Casion at 3am marked the end.

Lola and the family were devistated. So too Puppy Phat who’d only just signed him for a one year, six figure deal.

Footnote: It was about then that I realised I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and was badly in need of a sugar fix to settle my brain.
