After three days, the voices of so many brilliant authors are reverberating in my brain, that there’s no room left for my own thoughts.
So for tonight photos will have to do until after I can reboot with a good nights sleep.
Day One
After a cracking opening night, the Festival and I both started off feeling tall, proud and excited about the days ahead. Bring it on!

Day Two Family Day
The same display after Family Day.

18 hours in and we’d both started to slump.
The signs were beginning to show.
The artful displays hadn’t faired so well against the barage of kids.
Similarly I was found slumped on the floor at the back of the UWA Theatre, stretching out my back, a back tired of being wedged into rigid chairs.

Day Three
Sloth had well and truly set in.
Still we both struggled on, making it all the way to the end, pushed on by inspiring talks by amazing authors.

Dexter creator Jeff Lindsay
Chocolat author Joanne Harris
Romulus My Father author Raimond Gaita

  1. I saw your pic in the opening night photos but didn’t see you over the weekend – 20/24 is very impressive! I think I got to about 12, not bad with an 11-month-old (left at home, but obviously couldn’t leave him with Dad the entire weekend). Am very much looking forward to seeing your posts on Jeff Lindsay and Joanne Harris. I’m half-way through Harris’s “blueeyedboy” and it’s SO different to Chocolat, but still excellent.

  2. Really, eekk!!! where was the photo?
You did really well getting to 12 sessions!!! Shame I didn’t see you, mind you with only 30 minutes between sessions everything was a bit of a blur.
Interesting that you are reading blue eyed boy. I’ll get that post up shortly to give you some interesting background.
