After the announcement, and a range of media commitments, they were still trying to take in their win.

It’s a reminder that a good idea, a lot of hard work, determination to see a plan through, and the odd trip to Coles can result in amazing things.

Here’s hoping the $15,000 will keep them afloat for a while so we can see more of their work. In the meantime anyone in Sydney should keep an eye out for them in Bondi.

  1. I have said before I like Sara Lee art – it is a special form of simple yet brilliant art – layer, upon layer, upon layer of possible interpretations.

well done on the multi layered lifeboats. Very topical with the ‘boat people’ debate festering as usual, on a back burner in the outback somewhere. I wonder what the ‘flew here’ versus ‘grew here’ camps made of the win?

so much better than the metal car from ‘range rover’…fancy sneaking in an advert to our key sculptural cultural event…… cheeky sods.
